Project Ambient is not just another band. It is a project that puts together people that has a heart of being in God's presence, without compromising who there are. Free to be yourself, free to express in any way possible in the worship context.

The PA crew is made of experienced individuals that has been in the music industry, both in the Christian and secular scene. The hunger for excellence is paramount at the PA camp, therefore not only the band members are required to be dilligent with their respective crafts, infact the entire PA crew from logistics, to music and field production is given the same emphasis on excellence because He deserves nothing less. Is PA a band? Or a worship band?

The heart of Project Ambient is worship. The idea of Project Ambient in the beginning is to form a group of people who are dilligent with their respective instruments, and also has a desire to give that back to God. It started with a little vision where PA is able to go into smaller youth groups and churches to lead worship. So yes to a band, and also a worship band. We are also not afraid to embrace certain secular music, as long the lyrics does not go against our faith and values according to the Scriptures. If PA is given a chance to play in a secular setting, this is something that we will not shy away from. However the intent and purpose for us to do so has to be clear. Primarily worship music is the main focus.


Are the songs from PA original material?

Yes. The song writing process in mainly done by AJ, and co-written by Gavin. Arrangements and production in the studio are also done mainly by both AJ and Gavin. However we have started recording ideas from different members of the band. The vision is to get every band member involved as much as possible in the writing and arrangement process, without compromising the 'sound and brand' of Project Ambient. We try to keep everything 'in-house' as much as possible.


Are PA members Christians?

The No 1 requirement to be involved in Project Ambient is you need to believe that Christ has died on the cross for our sins, and he rose from the dead. A relationship with the One is vital. Born again baby !


Are we all from the same church?

No. Gavin goes to one church, Dave and Chris to another church, Russ, Andy and AJ attend the same church. If you are interested in knowing how we met, just ask us the next time you see us. However we are all in 'ONE' big church. :)


What is PA trying to achieve?

Quite honestly right now all we care about is excellence in the worship setting. Simply means edgy, genuine and heartfelt music that glorifies God. We are not in control, we are letting God steer this boat.


How would a PA experience look like?

The band and crew will come to set up earlier during the day and sound check. The worship session should be around 45 minutes to an hour, depending on what we are asked to do. Ideally we envision doing mainly 'worship nights', where it will be an hour plus of praise and worship.

The set list will be a combination of current contemporary worship music, combined with original PA material. Since we intentionally write our songs to fit congregational settings, there should not be a problem of flow.

We can work in a speaker/message for that night from a pastor, again depending on the purpose and need. However PA's main message bringing people together in worship. In God's presence people are healed, changed, rejuvenated etc. We let the Holy Spirit move.
